The founding partners of the company have combined years of experience on both compliance and software development. Both fields of expertise are equally represented and interact continuously. This approach creates extra added value.
Aron is our newest addition to the back office. He has just started his Bachelor’s degree in ICT at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Even during his high school years, Aron learned programming and used various software applications. Because he truly understands his computer, he works very efficiently and completes tasks for FirmQ quickly and accurately. Aron plans to continue working at FirmQ in the coming years, not only supporting the back office but also furthering his development in FirmQ’s software and innovations.
Aseel Al-Tashi is a globally experienced professional who has lived in multiple countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa before settling in the Netherlands. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the American University of Nairobi and with nearly a decade of experience in operations, performance enhancement, and strategy execution, Aseel excels at optimizing program efficiency and effectiveness.
She is excited to apply her diverse skill set and global perspective and contribute to the company’s success.
With over 10 years of experience in the field of corporate law and finance, Bohdan’s career began as an attorney specializing in international transactions, laying the groundwork for his evolution into a highly regarded consultant on the international stage. Bohdan has attained a master’s degree in both law and finance, and continually invests in his professional development. His current position as a partner in an international law firm, combined with his membership in ACAMS, enable Bohdan to effectively represent FirmQ in global discussions on development and relations.
Floris started working at FirmQ during his studies in Fiscal Economics and was particularly active in the field of client research. After the completion of his studies, he now, as senior member of the Implementation team, supervises the onboarding process of FirmQ’s clients. With his open and creative view, he quickly understands the underlying ratio’s and is therefore valuable for our clients during the onboarding process. His specialty is transaction monitoring.
With over 30 years of experience at ABN Amro, Ingeborg brings the necessary knowledge and expertise in the field of financial services and corporate governance. In a broader sense, her expertise mainly focuses on managing and supervising different teams, while at the same time shaping the organization as the pivot of the management team. Ingeborg has also set herself the goal of connecting the various stakeholders, varying from customers, employees as well as interest groups and the government. Just like Leon and Stijn, Ingeborg is a partner of the company and with her arrival FirmQ can further professionalize.
Leon and Stijn are at the cradle of FirmQ. With more than 20 years of experience as a software engineer, he is responsible for the construction of the product. His added value lies in the fundamental approach to the customer’s needs. His standard response to a new request is always “what exactly do you need it for?” after which he creates an application that already takes future developments into account. The last 14 years Leon specialized himself further in the GRC domain. His knowledge in the field of data driven risk analyzes is therefore very valuable to FirmQ.
Max started at FirmQ as a junior backoffice employee. Initially, he was mainly active with setting up and completing client files. At the same time, as his university study Tax Law progresses, he also gained more insight into the tax-technical scope of international corporate structures. Today he is active as a researcher focused on screening relationships against sanctions regulations, as well as developing the required risk analyses.
Mirek is an experienced software engineer with a good eye for detail. He has over 15 years of experience setting up complex systems and is well versed in a broad technology set. When a specific technical challenge arises, he is always able to approach the solution from multiple angles. Partly due to its skills, FirmQ is able to further expand the development of the product, both customer-oriented and universally applicable.
After his time at ING Bank, Stijn has been working as compliance officer for financial institutes since 2005. His expertise focuses on product development and consultancy in the field of client research, risk analysis and sanction screening. Based on the idea that professional knowledge and experience must go hand in hand with the need for automation, he and Leon concluded that FirmQ should be the first to offer an online compliance back office.
Tuba started her legal career in a law firm. During her years as (Senior) Legal Counsel, Tuba has gained experience with regard to commercial contracting, competition law, R&D and collaborations on innovation.
In recent years Tuba has become active as compliance officer for several corporate service providers. Her experience of corporate legal counseling together with AML legal expertise, is of great added value for the FirmQ team. Her key expertise focuses on enhanced client research and risk analyses.
Wilco brings 30 years of experience as a software engineer. His work is centered around what the end user needs to optimize their work, even if that end user doesn’t have a clear vision yet. As a well-rounded application developer, Wilco has extensive expertise in both front-end and back-end development. With Wilco on board, FirmQ is even more capable of reducing the ‘time to market’ for new software functionalities.
